Such speeds can be obtained provided that the equipment to which the drive is connected is compatible with the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, even an appropriate cable is needed, and the equipment must also support the UASP protocol (USB Attached SCSI Protocol).
The device can be enrolled with up to 4 different fingerprints, so that the whole team can work with one drive, passing it to each other. Of course, for data exchange within a creative team, it is much more convenient to use a shared folder on a server or on one of the computers on the local network but if it is possible for several people to unlock the device, in some cases this can be convenient.
For photographers who shoot with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K cameras and use SSD mount brackets, Samsung is pleased to announce that the new T7 will fit this mount. Since the T7 is only slightly smaller than the T5, it will only be necessary to tighten the retaining brackets.
The dimensions of the T7 case are 85x57x8 mm, it weighs 58 g, it comes with software for working with macOS and Windows, and there is also a mobile application for smartphones and tablets based on Android.
