Suits form the basis of a female executive’s wardrobe. A jacket paired with a skirt or trousers is a timeless classic. The minimum required number of suits is two per season.
You can complement the suites with blouses and tops that match the colour scheme. They can be plain (in particular, a classic white blouse is required) or with an unobtrusive pattern. Outer garments
The required minimum of outerwear for a woman leader: a winter coat (or fur coat), a demi-season coat, as well as a classic trench coat. Depending on the region, this list can be adjusted (for example, in northern latitudes, you will also need a summer coat).
The selection of outerwear is often given less attention than the selection of dresses or blouses. And completely in vain. A coat or raincoat plays an equally important role in shaping the image. Moreover, if an organization has a strict, conservative dress code, then outerwear becomes the main tool that can help you stand out.
What accessories to wear?
A woman executive’s bag should be large enough to hold not only a diary, wallet, and mobile phone, but even standard A4 documents. It should also go well with the outfit. Therefore, if you cannot afford to have half a dozen bags for all occasions, limit yourself to a black bag with a simple yet elegant cut.
Silk neckerchiefs or scarves are also important for a woman leader. They help diversify your wardrobe.
Don’t overload your look with jewellery. A chain with a pendant, discreet earrings, a ring (without large and bright stones) – this is an approximate range of acceptable business styles. It is better to choose a watch of a classic style, without rhinestones and other decorations, on a strap or on a metal bracelet.
