Samsung Galaxy M11. Short Overview and Main Details
Samsung continued updating its M-series and after the presentation of the M21, it introduced the most budget smartphone in the line – the Samsung Galaxy M11. Updates for it were not spared, and you can learn more about the quality of these innovations in our review.
Design and fingerprint scanner
The junior model in the lineup is dressed in a matte case. For many, this will be a plus, since the smartphone looks neat, and there are probably some daredevils who will neglect the case. However, we would not recommend abandoning the case, as scratches may form over time, and they will just be noticeable.
The front panel is given over to a 6.4-inch display. They decided not to draw a cutout for the front camera with a “drop”, which is used in most smart phones but simply made a hole in the display in the upper left corner. The front camera does not interfere with viewing on the screen, which is why the impressions of working with a smart phone are quite positive. Finally, something relatively new, and even in a budget device.
Compared to the M10, the M11 got hold of another main camera module. Now they are not two, but three. The flash is also in place, but it is located slightly away from the camera panel.
Screen
The Samsung Galaxy M11 is equipped with a 6.4-inch PLS-matrix with HD + resolution (1560 × 720) and a pixel density of 268 PPI. Despite the relatively low pixel density, the graininess or fuzziness of the image is not noticeable when working with a smartphone. The display has good viewing angles, pleasant color reproduction, contrast, and a decent margin of brightness. In the screen settings, you can find the adaptive brightness mode and the night mode.
Performance and key features
The M11 is powered by an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 (8 × ARM Cortex-A53, 1.8 GHz) paired with an Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory with microSD support up to 512 GB. By the way, the M10, in addition to the 3/32 GB version, also had a younger one – 2/16 GB. The latter option is frankly not enough for the normal operation of a smartphone today, so Samsung seems to have made the right choice when it refused to add a more modest modification to the new generation of state employees.
Despite the fact that the M11 cannot be called a performance monster, it copes with everyday workloads with confidence. In terms of wireless interfaces, Samsung pleasantly surprised me. In addition to the standard set, which includes Wi-Fi (in M11 only 2.4 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and support for navigation systems.
Сameras
There are three main camera modules in the M11: a leading 13-megapixel sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens with f / 2.2 aperture, and a viewing angle of 115 °, as well as a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f / 2.4). The camera app looks familiar to Samsung smartphones, but there are fewer shooting modes. If we talk about the quality of photography, then it corresponds to the price segment M11. The 13-megapixel sensor gives a pretty good result in good light – the image is quite detailed, and the color reproduction is natural, without excesses in contrast.
Autonomy
In terms of autonomy, the M11 has also improved compared to its predecessor. If the intensity of the load is increased by adding periodic video viewing and social networks to it, then it will last up to 2 days without any problems.
