Honor 50 – Get the Flagman Possibilities With a Price of a Regular Phone
Honor 50 is a modern flagship with a 108-megapixel main camera, an OLED display, a 32-megapixel front camera, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. Keep reading to see how can it surprise you.
Cameras Honor 50. Photo and video
The vast majority of smartphone manufacturers are trying to introduce new photo and video shooting technologies into their flagship models. Thanks to this trend, a 108-megapixel sensor appeared. Subsequently, the company went even further and introduced a 200-megapixel matrix. It is expected in the flagships of the new generation and should show a new level of mobile photo and video shooting.
Pictures on the main module are quite good. Shooting during daylight hours pleases with much greater sharpness. Color reproduction in both cases is quite accurate and pleasing to the eye.
The video looks smooth, but if you look closely, you can see the trembling characteristic of the electronic stabilization system. But if in the daytime with good lighting these tremors are only occasionally noticeable, then in the case of shooting in the evening, they are striking.
Ergonomics, charging, design Honor 50
In terms of external design, there are no complaints about the Honor 50. The smartphone is stylish, with an elongated display with rounded edges. You can get used to it but you can’t call waterfall screens particularly ergonomic yet. The display itself has a comfortable resolution of 2340×1080 and is made using OLED technology. Diagonal 6.57 inches, pixel density – 392ppi, refresh rate 120 Hz.
The selfie camera is “embedded” into the display and does not stand out too much. Getting used to the “eye” of the front camera is much easier than sloping edges. But the smartphone turned out to be thin (7mm) and light (175 grams). It is charged according to the standard – from USB Type C. There are 5 speaker holes near the charging socket.
Despite its light weight and design, the Honor 50 feels secure in the hand, even when taking pictures in landscape orientation with one hand.
Honor 50 is charged from 66W charging up to 100% in about 50 minutes. Up to 50% of the smartphone is charged in 20-22 minutes.
Performance and games of Honor 50
In terms of performance when working with all standard tasks (surfing, watching videos, chatting, etc.), Honor 50 does not show the slightest hint of brakes. It has a mid-range Snapdragon 778G processor (announced in May 2021) manufactured on a 6nm process. This chip also shows good results in modern mobile games.
Honor 50 may be suitable for those who do not want to spend big money on a smartphone, but at the same time expect to get: a good camera, a high-quality display, performance without the slightest sign of lag, and style.
The appearance of the smart is really good. In our opinion, the phone looks like a premium segment. Functionality – the same level, if there are no specific requirements for the camera or overly high expectations for performance in test programs.
Watching the movie in MKV format was not marked by any lags or skipping frames. Everything is very smooth.
