Cashmere Jumper. How a Woman Should Pick It Up and Take Care?
While it is hot outside, we do not think about a wardrobe for the cool season. Of course, it’s too early to buy, but it’s time to study trends. And one of the trends is the cashmere jumper. How to choose one and take care, learn from this article.
What is the best cashmere sweater?
This is a sweater that does not restrict movement, lightweight, very soft. And, of course, you should like the style – to look in the mirror and enjoy the purchase. An important nuance: the perfect thing is combined with many garments in the wardrobe. So, choose colours that are close to natural: for example, soft beige. Undyed cashmere looks great with jeans, skirts, and pants in almost any colour.
Many people really think that cashmere is an expensive product, an inaccessible thing for mass production. Unfortunately (and maybe, fortunately), this is all a huge delusion. We are talking about the fact that a cashmere product can be affordable for almost every family.
How is the cashmere sweater implemented into the different trends?
Cashmere is a classic, it was worn by our grandmothers and will be worn by our granddaughters. It is quite conservative: the styles change a little, a little wider or a little narrower, in flowers, the revelry of imagination is also not particularly welcomed. Therefore, brands rarely produce neon yellow or acid green items. Cashmere is about naturalness. Therefore, the brands mostly mix shades gently, working with warm and cold palettes of beige and grey. By the way, it is rather difficult with black and white, because they are easily soiled and impractical.
At the age of 15, you want non-trivial shades, for example, blue or powdery pink. And at a respectable age – rather something more neutral and calmer. Although right now, to be fair, the boundaries of style in the context of age are blurred and preferences can be very different.
How to choose the original item and how to take care of it?
The label should say 100% Cashmere. There are good mixtures – cashmere with silk, cotton or wool, but this is already a deviation from the standard. Another important nuance related to the quality of the yarn: ideally, the item should be of a natural colour – grey or beige. When the raw material is dyed, the sweater becomes a little stiffer.
Look at the quality of the seams, touch the thing. Cashmere feels very different to wool or acrylic. But the product still reveals all its secrets in the process of wearing. One of the main indicators is the number of pellets. Moderate (they should be, in any case, the specificity of the natural material) indicates high-quality raw materials. But if the sweater is almost entirely covered with pellets, this means that the manufacturer made a mistake when washing the yarn. Then the product fluffs too much – and rolls down at the same time.
For cashmere, hand wash in warm water with specialized liquid detergents is ideal. Drying – without spinning, unfolded on a towel.
