Apple has unveiled the new AirPods Max wireless headphones with high-quality sound. We have compiled a review in which we examined in detail the characteristics of the headphones and the principles of operation.
AirPods Max Specifications

The ear cups are made of anodized aluminum and have a mechanism that allows them to rotate independently with pressure distribution. The ear pads are soft and pleasant to the touch thanks to the mesh fabric. The contents are made from acoustically optimized memory foam. The ear cushions provide the foundation for high-quality sound and provide sound isolation. They can be easily removed and reattached with magnets. The ear pads are not recommended to be interchanged so as not to spoil the sound quality: the left one is marked with the letter L, and the right one is marked with the letter R.
Microphones
AirPods Max has eight noise-canceling microphones: six are directed outward and pick up external noise, and two are directed inward and evaluate the sound in the headphones. Driver
The Apple driver reproduces a wide range of frequencies, so music sounds clear and bright. The headphones have built-in drivers with two-ring neodymium magnets, like professional speakers. This design reduces harmonic distortion in the audible range. The sound of the headphones is stable even at high volumes.
Battery
When fully charged, the battery will provide 20 hours of music, movies, or talk with noise canceling on. AirPods Max charges quickly via the Lightning connector.
How does AirPods Max work?
Connecting to devices. AirPods Max quickly connects to your iPhone or iPad. It is enough to bring the headphones to the device and press the button that appears on the display of your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Controls and modes. Headphone control requires iOS version 14.3. On the screen in the gadget settings, you can switch modes: “Noise reduction”, “Transparency”, and “Spatial audio”.
There’s also a Digital Crown wheel, with which you can adjust the volume, and it is possible to switch tracks and activate the voice assistant. The volume can be changed by scrolling the wheel left or right. One short press turns on or off the music and double-clicks the track, Activation of Siri occurs with a long press.
