The design aspects
The 15-inch 2-in-1 version weighs just 1.39kg and is 1.19cm thick. It is lighter and thinner than the Surface Laptop 4, Dell XPS 15, and HP Specter x360 15. The design of the Galaxy Book Pro is simple, and a bit reminiscent of MacBook.
The laptop’s screen
We get a 15.6-inch Super AMOLED touch screen with Full HD resolution. Blacks are deeper when contrast and fidelity are higher compared to the Book Flex QLED panel.
Samsung offers several colour profiles to choose from: Vivid, Natural, Photo Editing, and Movie. There is an additional Auto mode, when the laptop itself decides which profile to install, depending on the task being performed. However, this function is not very useful, and if necessary, we advise you to choose a colour profile yourself.
The aspect ratio is 16:9, so the vertical space is a little lacking – many are already accustomed to 3:2 or 16:10. Therefore, here you will have to scroll through the pages a little more often than usual, although this is a small drawback.
Ports and connectors
There are three USB-C ports, one of which supports Thunderbolt 4, a headphone jack, and a microSD card slot. It lacks a full-sized USB-A, but you can do without it.
In past Samsung models, the power key was on the side; in the Galaxy Book Pro 360, the manufacturer finally moved it to the upper right corner of the keyboard. Now you will not accidentally put your laptop into sleep mode when you want to connect a peripheral device. The power key also has a built-in fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello support.
Keyboard and touchpad
If you often work with numbers, then appreciate the separate numeric keypad, the keys of which, when Num Lock is off, act as the Home, End, Page Down, and Page Up buttons. There is no need to constantly press Fn.
Under the keyboard of the Galaxy Book Pro is a huge touchpad – it is almost the size of an adult’s palm, large and comfortable. With just a flick of your finger across the touchpad, you can scroll through an entire browser page.
