The Google pixel 6A. Let’s See Its Specifications
Let’s review one of the latest novelties from Google – Pixel 6A. The phone is offered in three color options: white, jet black, and mint.
Google Pixel 6A. Design and characteristics
The youngest member of the Pixel family, in many ways similar in design to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 6a is the smallest in the series, featuring a 6.1-inch FullHD+ OLED display. It has a stock 60Hz refresh rate, which seems a little dated these days compared to the 120Hz refresh rates that are available even in lower-end phones these days.
The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which should resist scratches quite well. The Pixel 6a’s display has an O-shaped cutout for the selfie camera at the top. It is not too big and does not distract attention. Along the perimeter of the screen are thin bezels that are almost invisible. Google has installed an in-display fingerprint scanner that works very accurately and allows you to quickly unlock your phone.
The Google Pixel 6a is a very compact device by today’s standards and feels great in the hand. The frame is made of metal, which adds strength to the case. The phone weighs a reasonable 178g and you won’t experience the slightest bit of fatigue while using it. Your thumb naturally will rest on the power button. The Pixel 6a received only a USB Type-C port and lost the 3.5mm headphone jack that the Pixel 4a had. There are speaker grilles on both sides of the USB port.
The back of the Pixel 6a looks the same as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Google has used plastic, and while it may feel a bit like glass, it doesn’t feel as a premium to the touch. The Pixel 6a has a large camera module that spans the full width of the back. This causes the back cover to lift slightly when placed on a flat surface, but the phone does not wobble. The Pixel 6a is IP67 dust and water-resistant.
The Pixel 6a has a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 12.2MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 114-degree field of view. The camera received optical image stabilization (OIS), as well as electronic image stabilization (EIS).
For selfie shots, the phone received an 8-megapixel front camera with a fixed focus. Google uses software features like Magic Eraser, RealTone, and Night Sight in its cameras, giving the Pixel 6a a big edge over the competition.
The Pixel 6a is powered by the Google Tensor processor, just like the Google Pixel 6 Pro, which tells us that this phone is equipped with flagship-grade hardware at a relatively affordable price. The phone is also equipped with Google’s Titan M2 co-processor, which is responsible for security. The Pixel 6a runs Android 12 out of the box and is guaranteed to receive three Android software updates and five years of Android security updates.
Google has installed a 4410 mAh battery in the Pixel 6a and claims that the phone will last 24 hours in active mode. The phone has support for 18W fast charging, but the charger is not included in the box, you only get the cable.
The Pixel 6a is a very interesting smartphone equipped with a powerful Google Tensor processor. Google’s five-year commitment to security updates also gives hope for many years of use for this phone. If you want to get this device, just visit the Three website.
