If You Enjoy Strong Bass Sounds Then JBL Tune 510BT Is Your Right Fit

The JBL TUNE 510BT made us think that the standard is getting exponentially higher. These headphones have everything from standard Pure Bass technology to Multipoint connection mode. Let’s jump straight into the review.

Appearance and quality

Simple design. Slightly close to the ears, but quickly take their shape, providing comfortable listening. JBL Tune 510BT is partially breathable. They do not completely cover the outer edges of the ears, which allows for little airflow.

They are made of plastic that feels cheap to the touch, although the construction is quite solid. They do not have a degree of protection against water and dust, but it does not matter.

The ear pads can be rotated and folded inward to save space and make storage easier. Unfortunately, they do not come with a bag or case.

Functions

Multipoint connection (multipoint connection), remote control, voice assistant, built-in microphone, call in hands-free mode, clean bass, signature, Siri/Google Now support.

Like almost all JBL products, the TUNE 510BT has a long list of cool features. It includes a Multipoint connection that allows you to choose from several different audio sources for easy transition while listening. The buttons on the right earcup allow you to adjust the volume, pause and play media, and make hands-free calls. It’s cool, but how do they sound?

The sound

Like the rest of the TUNE series, the 510BT is aimed at the non-professional listener. The soundstage proved it. All things considered, they provide surprisingly good width detail. The device has normal frequency response stability.

In terms of depth, the device sounds rather limited, but, again, not very noticeable for an amateur and such a price.

Pure Bass is a bit too strong at times, overpowering other ranges. So if the bass is your thing the TUNE 510BT is a perfect choice.

Mid frequencies, with the slightest boost, can divert attention from other ranges that give them timbre. This gives a sense of unity throughout the music, but sometimes even too much.

Headphones provide a satisfactory stereo image quality. Their weighted group delay is mostly below the threshold of audibility, resulting in fairly tight bass and transparent highs. The L/R drivers are also fairly well matched in amplitude response, although there is a slight frequency mismatch.

The 510BT has decent weighted harmonic distortion performance. With the exception of some distortion at moderate volume in the low-frequency range, which is hard to notice, sound reproduction is quite clear.

People nearby may hear some of what you are listening to if you play media at a high volume.

It is worth noting the speed at which the device charges: 5 minutes of charge provides 2 hours of playback. Accordingly, for a full charge and several days of autonomy, a relatively short time is required – 2 hours. Incredible! The Bluetooth profile (A2DP v1.3, AVRCP v1.6, HFP v1.7) makes the headphones compatible with almost everything.
